I have both, and i much prefer the LE. I would always choose the LE, unless i was planning on doing lots of really heavy prying. Then the DDF/CG might have an advantage. But both are probably too tough for me to break, and the LE seems to chop a lot more effectively without binding as much.
I guess in a perfect world i'd choose an LE with a thicker spine, giving it the strength advantage of the CG but keeping the cutting power of the full flat grind. Oh, wait, i already have one - the FBMLE!
