Hey there fellow Dawgs,
It's been awhile since I've done a post on here. Life has been very busy for
myself and my family, so this is sort of an update post for me.

This time last year, I was considering taking a nursing program, and was
waiting for confirmation of my funding. Well, then the bubble burst here, and
all available funding got cut.

This left me with a bit of a dilemma. No funding source left my plan high and
dry. What to do?

After a lot of thought, I decided to go for my Class 1 drivers license.
For those who don't know, here in British Columbia, that is a commercial
drivers license.
Well, I went ahead and got it, then started applying everywhere for jobs.
As luck would have it, I was able to find work as a spare board city transit
driver, and I've been doing that since September.

It's fun work, although the hours aren't great yet, and it will be at least a
couple of years before I can crack the full time board, but every driver has to
go through that process.

At least, I've gotten my foot in the door to what promises to be a very good
job down the line.
Like I said the work is fun as I like to drive, I get to meet a lot of
different sorts of people, most good hehe...

The best part of things is that I'm getting the bank account built back up a
bit, although we are still struggling a bit. There's a light at the end of the
tunnel now!!!

On another happy note, we are getting ready to welcome our 6th grandchild into
our family around February.

I would like to extend my best wishes to all Dawgs for a safe and happy Holiday
season. As well, may your New Year be peaceful and prosperous.

Cheers Everyone.
