Lets start with a summary...Wow! I like it!

Someone say it needs leather? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> This is a Rainwalker sheath for my S5- I've been using another one for the S5 and this fits well and maybe more style for the War Dog!

OK, now a little useage. Man, look at those fuzz sticks! What a slicer this is! Great control too...doing those stakes, it bites deep no problem and finer shaving as easily. The thumb falls naturally on the spine and I feel in total control. See the 1/4-1/2" branch? Chopped that easily. I really like the handle design. I need to get more used to the narrower front- I was grasping too hard at first and need to let the rear fingers do more of the work.

My only complaint was when I tested the tip with drilling. Great strength, but the butt of the handle has sharp edges...I'll use it more and likely sand it down some.

I haven't tried it on food as yet, so I'll see...

Dan, what a knife! I don't know how you made this thick sucker such a good slicer. I almost passed on th WD b/c of the thickness and am so glad I didn't. The king of my bushcraft knives is my Fiddleback and the War Dog is right there with it- Great job!

Check out who visited me! Came up on me running and checked me out for almost 10 minutes. Was so close I could see the velvet on his antlers..
