Dom, JUST my personal opinion, which doesn't really amount to that much is.....Get the 711 for an allrounder. Yes the 911 will be a better chopper, but you said an all round do everything knife. The 711 will chop, and it will also do some things with just a bit more finesse. IF you don't need a chopper, go with the 711, I don't think you'll regret it.

Now that you've heard MY 4.5 cents (adjusted for todays inflation rate) figure out which will carry easier for you, and what you will realistically be using it for most. All around camp type chores or clearing out a forest. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
