Actually, it flip flops if you're speaking to pigment or light.

Black is the absence of colors in terms of light, but the presence of colors when speaking to pigment. White is the opposite to black in either case too.

Then you can get into the whole conversation of pigment being merely how the eye interprets light reflecting off an object, stir in the subjective nature of each person's perception differing (the way I see a color may not be exactly as you see it)...it can get complicated and quick. smile
