I've had a lot of different optics. From memory some of my budget scopes have included:

Fixed and Variable Power Bushnell's
Fixed and Variable Power Tasco's

From memory some of the higher end scopes have included...

(2) Aimpoint ML2's
(3) Burris Fullfield 2 Ballistiplex
(2) EoTech 511's
(1) EoTech 512
(1) EoTech 516
(1) EoTech 517
(2) EoTech 553's
(1) EoTech 556
(1) EoTech 557
(Bunch) Leupold Vari-XII
(Couple) Leupold Vari-XIIc
(Couple) Leupold Vari-XIII
(Couple) Leupold VXII
(1) Leupold VXII Scout
(Couple) Leupold VX2
(1) Leupold VX3
(1) Leupold Mark 4
(1) Trijicon ACOG TA01
(2) Trijicon ACOG TA01NSN
(1) Trijicon ACOG TA33
(1) Trijicon ACOG TA50
(1) Trijicon Accupoint TR21R
(1) Trijicon Accupoint TR24G
(2) Trijicon Reflex

My general comments and feelings:

1) Burris glass is at least as clear as comparably priced Leupold glass.
2) Leupold scopes are more durable.
3) Higher end Leupold variable power scopes are my favorite variable power traditional optics.
4) Old ACOG designs have very poor eye relief. I started using them in 1996, and they have come a long way.
5) The newer ACOG's (like my TA33) has better eye relief.
6) Batteries die at the worst possible moment.
7) For illuminated reticles I prefer tritium power with supplement light gathering tubes.
8) 1-4x is good out to 400 yards.
9) I like 12x for precision or over 400 yards.
10) The mount and/or rings are just as important as the scope. This is why I buy LaRue mounts (with or without integral rings) and Warne QD rings.

What do I have now?

I've sold everything that requires a battery.

I have:

(1) Leupold Vari-XIIc 3-9x40mm on a CZ452 in 22LR
(1) Leupold VXII 4-12x40mm AO on a CZ452 Varmint in 22WMR
(1) Leupold VX2 2-7x33mm on a Ruger 10/22
(1) Leupold Mark 4 4.5-14x40mm Side Focus LRT on a Colt LE901
(1) Trijicon Accupoint TR24G on a BCM MidLength HF M4
(1) Trijicon ACOG TA33 on a RA XCR-M

That's it.
