Nice, did he do the forging? I have always liked the hand forged look. It makes it seem more formidable although it really does nothing for performance.

Nice I have tossed around the idea of doing some blacksmithing but I think it may be an after retirement project as it is really time consuming.

The overall design reminds me of a choilless, humpless Rodent 5 with an incredibly contoured handle. To me, this is exactly how a choilless knife should be. I can get my index finger right up to the cutting edge for maximum control during detail cuts, while keeping the full length cutting edge. No wasted space. I love this knife.

I was within a micro-second of buying that one when it came up on the X. I really wish it would have been in the Eval. Congrats on what looks like a SUPER nice at an INSANE price!

Thanks Gary. Gerry never put this on the exchange, but he did list some similar pieces. I had emailed him describing to him what I was looking for and he responded by saying he was about to list this one. I've bought 3 knives from him that way. He sells most of his knives at shows and he lists the leftovers in the exchange. Not all of them are show leftovers, though.
