If those same folks would have GRADUALLY stocked up on items BEFORE any major problems started i.e. pandemic, severe weather, etc. there wouldn't be any shortages now. The media has not helped either.

Klink nailed it. But the media here is outright inducing panic. It's disgusting. The one cool thing I have seen is way more people are planting gardens this year.

Did I tell you we had a good ending to a fine day? No, well let me 'splain it to you.

3/4 inch thick pork steaks. Quartered small red taters. Chopped onions (green ones as well), Shrooms along with red, green and red bell peppers, sliced. Oh yeah and sliced carrots and Butter. Gotta have butter. Wrap everything up in HEAVY tinfoil and throw it on the grill for about 45 minutes at around 350-400. Open and enjoy!

That reminds me of when my son was in Weblos, just before progressing to the Boy Scouts. The Scout troop invited the "newbies" and their dads on a campout, and were told to bring our own food to cook. While the leaders were making "rock soup" and others were cooking hot dogs, we had a big steak with potatoes sliced up along with green and red peppers and carrots and celery wrapped up in foil. We cooked it in the coals, turning frequently. It was great, but I felt a little embarrassed eating so well when the others just had what they brought. One of the other dads said that the next time he was going to bring lobster!

We also had pork steaks that my son grilled in the back yard. Had some mustard greens and a baked potato on the side.
