I've got enough firepower to keep my land zombie free for some time. Throw in a generator, lots of rice and beans, access to fresh water and enough land to be able to live off what I farm and the world go to hell in a hand basket.

you're still gonna need reloads, jerry. assuming sixty-percent of the world's population gets zombified, and that's a conservative estimate, even if you get a headshot every time, just with the population of north america, you'd need around 500,000,000 rounds of ammo.

It's all about terrain. To my north is a big alligator infest swamp, the Okeefenokee. I figure that the little dinosaurs are good for a few Zombies.

To my west and south sits Osceola National forest with many sections impassable or difficult to pass through. In addition I'm well away from main routes of travel. And on top of that I'm surrounded by plenty of Rednecks. They'll thin the ranks before a zombie ever reaches me.

Heck, I may never need to pull the trigger. But if I do I've got ammo a plenty.

I hope you have a rifle that will penetrate an alligator skull, because once those gators eat a few zombies, zombie gators! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Gators skulls really aren't that hard to penetrate. Then again I've alo got stuff that should do the job even iff they are hard to penetrate.

I bought a copy of "The Zombie Survival Guide" by Max Brooks this afternoon. I'll have to read through it and get back to you.

It's a good book. It's my coffee table book (I kid you not) in the Man Cave at Casa De Jerrwhy.

He wrote a sequel called World War Z. That was a great book as well. I listened to it on audio book. There were some pretty famous actors doing the voices e.g., Alan Alda, Mark Hamil, and a few others.

I just finished watching "Planet Terror" by Quentin Tarentino. It was a pretty hilarious film. It was done like a 60's B movie. Very Entertaining. However, I don't recommend Death Proof.

I tried to read WWZ, but got bogged down. I am going to try to scare up a audio of it, now that I know it is around.
