So I ordered the M9. I've been itchin' for some SR-101.
On a sad note, a college buddy called and informed of the passing of a roomate. It's tough when guys your age go, he was supposed to get married this may. Car accident. It's been 10 years since I've seen some of those guys, we're gonna try to get together and catch up before it's too late.

Nice! Thanks Mag. I appreciate all the hard work. Honestly, I hope to have blades from all the Dawgs who make 'em.

I know what you mean. I will be able to get it thanks to some overtime at work. I'm looking forward to that Busse also. Plus, I really like the gear you showed me in those links so this year that's what I'm focusing on. I'll be saving elsewhere, but I see it as an investment on all counts.

none of that gear is arctic ready BUT backpackinglight might have some NOLS arctic gear. 2 guys did an arctic journey using "backpackight light" methods and fundamentals their store might have some of the gear they used still available.

the mariposa is just like any other pack except its 1.1lbs ripstop nylon rather than a traditional canvas pack...i took it all over and worst damage i got was a chipmunkthat ate thru the mesh to get to a muffin i had left out
