Hey all. Can tree sap almost instantly tarnish a blade? I stuck my M9 into a tree a good inch or so (happened to hit right between two pieces of bark). When I pulled it out it had this purplish black tree blood on it. When I rinsed the blade a couple of minutes later it had turned a permanent black in a few spots. Weird. Anyone know anything about this? I don't care that the tip is discolored (it's only gonna get worse from here) but I was just kind of curious.

i might actually pick up one more HI just for the test. i haven't done a chopoff in a long time. I actually consider the HI to be egual to the Cold Steel. But a Busse kukri? That's the ultimate. So I am parting with these. They are headed to North Georgia soon. I must have the funds to get the Killa Z! That will be the ultimate upgrade. Jeremy Horton is selling a close to mint black and black standard handle CGFBM for $500. Anytime I see a CG FBM sell from $500 and less, I want to jump on it, but don't have the funds due to some college bills and I'm still trying to save up for my first handgun and rifle.

i actually never thought i'd have one. it was one of those knives that was so mystical to me i never bothered to put it on my wish list. practical men don't wish to own unicorns.
now i have a blade that i rank at the top of the heap just below the FBM, and it somehow just happened on its own.
