Mag, I've had both and some Striders have much thicker stock than others. The liner on the Leek isn't up for the torque the SMF frame lock could take.

true, but folders shouldn't be sustaining torque. i would like to assure you i think they are very well made knives. just more art than utility.

the leek has a frame lock actually... and it's pretty strong.
still it won't take abuse like a strider will. (I would think)

Pretty much echos my thoughts on some of the stuff Busse comes out with. Some of those obnoxiously thick little itty bitty fixed blades are downright goofy in my eyes, but those Hogs sure love their thick blades. They look pretty cool but can't be very practical.

Frame or liner? I've never seen a frame lock leek. A Vapor maybe, but not a leek.

You guys are both right, that can be said of many knives.

were you in the death chat when i made a comment about turds with the infi logo?

there are only a few Busse models i like, but they rank at the top of all knives for me. my only smaller knife from the family is the MPLE and it has taken more hours from me than any other blade i own to get it the way i like it.
