Hi Dice,

I don't see your Li'l Temp pictured. Do you still have it? I'm still carrying mine.

I absolutely do! She's in the safe w/ my PE Manix! She's kind of in a league of her own, really. Hard to compare to the others. I had thought about putting her in the mix, though. I've been rather unimpressed with Spyderco's lack of replacement for the Lil' T and the Manix. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

I agree the 2008 crop is uninspirational, especially since the Manix and Li'l Temp are gone. I guess the manufacturing and parts acquisition issues for the Li'l Temp were prohibitive.

I can see that - a lot of work goes in to that Li'l T grip. I wish the Leaf blade T's weren't off center at my local shop. I ended up with a Rhino - more collectable, but I don't like the blade shape as much. Maybe I'll be able to talk down my local shop on the price of those off center leaf T's down the road if they still have them... They've had them for years already - probably not going anywhere!

i think they just stopped selling. i bet the super duty folders were their least popular models. only we collectors buy folders like those. i think the mili is more of a crowd pleaser in that price range and the range of steels and handle materials put into that model are the evidence.

Hmmm..... You may be right. They're both "holy grail" Spydies, but the average Joe who walks in to the knife shop probably wouldn't be too hot on the Li'l T in particular.

you will get one. prepare yourself.

think of it this way. if you go straight to the best model, you won't lose money buying all the lower models. so, in effect, you're saving yourself.
