i just received a spyderco byrd "robin" the other day. kinda small..i tried it for a little while..but it ended up in the safe ...not because it sucked..but if im carrying a folder i ruined myself & hand a custom "lowrider" clip from STR on bladeforums fit a new clip on it....the byrd rides too high for my liking in the pocket

***edit***
it's a 1/4 the size of my rat trap & rides much higher

Yeah my stryker and rookie get a lot of looks, even at a place where everybody there has a knife on them. I think its the shape of the stryker and the shiny serrations on the rookie. my G-10 harpy ALWAYS gets a comment of some sort. Right now i'm carrying a waved endura and a Salt 1. I've been trying to put some wear and tear on the H1, and nobody seems to notice it. I think its the bright yellow handle.

I think anything with a slipjoint is below the radar also.

How's that H1 steel. From what I know, it's supposedly extremely stainless. Virtually in salt water. I was close to getting an Endura in H1, just weary of the edge retention and other characteristics of the steel. I'm sure Spyderco does a good job on the steel, though.

G10 Byrd Cara Cara isn't as beefy as the Manix - but it has similar features. G10 handle, 4" blade. Its not full height grind - but its as close as you'll get w/ the Byrds. Sharp as hell...
