Anyone here like or better yet own any Emerson knives, would like your opinions.....Just bought a mini commander and a CQC-14.

When you care enough to use only the best...stick'em with a SKYCO knife.

Nice Mac. I looked at the Ironwood Damascus Dejavoo last night. I thought it was nice. Not really my cup of tea though. However, I do like the Gold Class Strykers. Dual CF and there is also a Titanium one, too.

EMF,

I don't have too many BMs

Currently I have:

Grip
Rukus
Nimravus
CSK
CBK

I also had a BM Ascent but lost it.

I have a 2000 PE Commander. Love the blade and ergo's, definitely not happy with the liners or pocket clip. It came really sharp and stayed that way. The pocket clip stripped out and I sent them an email. whatever. I have better folders anyway. I'm still tempted every time I see a Persian though.

The liner would stick sometimes, and sometimes if you waved it too hard, the blade would bounce back before the liner would lock, just like a semi-auto when the mag spring is too weak. If it had a thicker liner with more tension that wouldn't get stuck on the blade, it would be GREAT. but it doesn't.

The blade is heavy so don't ever put your finger in the choil and flick it with inertia. Its just like a cigar cutter. It will cut DEEP

The Meadowlark is really comfortable.

BTW, that baliyo your talking about... it's... it's a pen...

yea... I don't think a pen balisong style can replace a really balisong.

Yea... I might one to get one though. I've got a rather spotty collection of fine pens. 24k plated fountain pens and such, a few Parkers, a few Sensas, some Cross.

You mean William Henry? They keep several of his folders in inventory at a jewelry store here. They are nice, but a little too pretty for me. In that price range I'd rather have a Lightfoot, Elishewitz, or Lambert.

Oops, Yes I did mean William Henry. Thanks for correcting me.

I always get confused with McHenry and Williams (one of BMs designers) and William and Henry.

Well, the only reason why I even want one is because of how nice they are. Also, performance wise they are fantastic. The Lightfoots, Elishwitz, and Lamberts are definitely cool but steel wise they could be using something better. The ZDP blade would undoubtedly have better edge retention than S30V, 154CM, BG-42, etc. I also don't need, or want, a thick blade and fat handles.

I'd be buying one to use and not to look at. I would be buying any of the ones with fancy wood inserts and mother of pearl, etc, etc. Just plain titanium handles, ZDP blade (damascus or not), and button lock. A long term slicer of everything. Course, I could always get an SS4 or Meaner but that would defeat the purpose of wanting a folder.
