I keep hearing awesome things about the Griptilians, and I thought what set them apart was the handles.

So, what don't you like about them? Would help me out. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Ive carried mine for 2 1/2 years and most of a rotation in Iraq and i really cant think of anything i dont like about mine. Maybe it could use a little more texture on the handle but then agian ive never had it slip.

My EDC for the past 6 months or so has been a Cold Steel AK-47..At first I didnt expect much but it held up very well and I have abused this thing and lock up is perfect and no blade play. Rides good in my pocket for it's size. I had a Ontario XM-1 and they are around the same size but the XM-1 felt like I had a roll of quarters in my pocket. I just ordered the Spyderco Military im excited about that one!

Thinking about woods carry folders I thought this would make a nice addition.

Should be good in case I drop it.

Maybe I'll ask my wife for my birthday... in a couple months. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" />

No, no, no. If you want visibility, get the yellow one like mine, it almost glows in the dark:

Here's a pic of me taken today, you can see it in my pocket:

I'm sure it's plenty tough, but it feels like the cheapest plastic ever.

I just love G-10, that's all.

The stock grips are light, and make the (ritter) grip a little blade heavy. I could easily deal with it, but c'mon don't these new grips look SO much better?

Actually, the more rounded original grips look more comfortable to me. But, yes, the Wilkins grips do look better. I have a Ritter Mk 3 RSK in Rainwalkier kydex, and I like it a lot. I think I'll try out the folder next.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Here are my two high visibility folders in the middle:

I thought it was interesting the way Kershaw combined 154CM and D2 in one blade.

While I like the small fixed blades like the SS4, RC-4, and RSK, I find large folders much more practical for EDC.

Even the little neck knives are still longer and less convenient than a good folder.

I like the scales of the one in the middle.

Does anyone know what SAK that is like the tinker but had a lock with a folded sheet metal push button, to the left of the main blade when the knife is oriented upward, that had PUSH on it. The lock did not release like a normal liner lock, instead you pushed down on this ~2mm x 4mm lever instead.

It was the first knife my dad gave me in the bow scouts. I lost it my first day of summer camp and have not been able to find a replacement.

I'm sure Tolly would know. He's not been around much lately though, busy with work.

BTW I saw the new Spyderco Manix II s90v carbon fiber version for sale. Not only does it have better steel but it is also a full flat grind. Dang, I wish I had money.

A lot of you have M16s, I really liked all of mine but found they got dull really quickly. Got rid of all of them last year, in the market for a Griptilian or Spyderco Military now...
