The biggest place I look for on the 'liner' vs frame lock on the JYD II and the Tyrade is the cutout on the frame lock where the metal bends into the blade channel. It seems there is more metal on these two, backed up by strong G10, then I have seen on many or even most frame locks. Looking at my two JYD IIs it does seem the titanium in the cutout is thicker though. I do wonder which would ultimately be stronger.

Is that the full sized skirmish or the mini?

Scroll up and you'll see it is the full sized Skirmish. I am not worried about any of these folders failing under normal use.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Thanks, Jeff. I have all the big choppers I'll ever need, so lately it's been folders. These are knives I might actually carry. The HK is the least expensive of my autos. Blade is 440C.

Interesting info on the HK. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> I know what you mean on the choppers.

Aside from my Lion Steel SR-1 which I'm still very impressed with, I've recently acquired a Spyderco Manix 2, I'm very happy with it as well... after Modding it with a low ride clip that is. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I wish they would allow legal auto carry here... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

They don't have quite as smooth an action as say a... Reeve or Spyderco, but it's one of the most Bomb proof folders that I have. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

The steel is more comparable to a tool steel than a stainless, and I like that too! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I love the Rotoblock a lot as well!!!<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Here's mine.

I'm afraid not. I really had to scrape a little to afford this one... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> I'm really glad I got though.

I've read a rumor somewhere that there's a Spyderco/Lion Steel folder in the works, I could be mistaken though...
