Yeah my pics are much closer to the real color than the eBay ones.

Ill take car of that tomorrow or wednesday for you GD.

N2K they are "blemished" although the gen twos blem is that the laser engraving is slightly lighter. lol Ill take that for half price any day.

[Linked Image from i180.photobucket.com]

I havnt found the blem on the gen one yet, I wouldnt have even noticed the gen two light laser if it hadnt said on the bag.

I just bought a ZT 0560. I like the scales on that knife though.

Kershaw's ZT line of knives have a reputation for being really nice and tough.

i really haven't been a fan of any of the zt blade styles, but just looking at the 0560, the design grows on me.

i cant justify buying a XM18 or a few other custom folders that are over the $500 mark. but if i do cave in, it might be with this model.

I also was not a ZT fan until they began to work closely with Rick. I'm not a big recurve fan.

The 0550/0551 and 0560/0561 have a lot of similarities to some of Rick's earlier designs. Especially if you look closely at blade shapes.

I own real Hinderers and they are my primary EDCs. But what is right for me may not be right for "you" and certainly is not "right" for everyone.

How I got to EDC XMs....Every other folder that I owned prior to the XM dissapointed me in one way or another or lacked a quality I find in the XM.

Things broke, things loosened, things just could not keep up with my needs.

And, it's not that out of reach to own one. If you can set aside $20/week...in less than a year you will have enough cash to buy a production XM and you don't have to save each & every week. There's some flexibility in this plan.

I'll be ordering a xm in January I hope it lives up to the reputation it has but the people such as yourself that I am hearing good things from are all knowledgeable in knifes so I think it will.

If you are among those allowed to order directly, it's likely the 3.5" for January.

Much like Goldilocks seeking the right (for her) bed, it is my primary EDC of the 3 XM sizes. I always pair it with a second XM. WHY? Because I like to carry 2 knives.

I carry the 3.5" Spanto Flipper with a 3" Slicer Flipper around the house and pair the 3.5 with a Spanto or Slicer XM-24 (4") Flipper whenever I head out into the world.

If you want a robust and dependable tool in your pocket, the XM certainly is a great contender.
