now it looks like syracuse,ny.

it can drop 30 degrees in an hour here and just like where you live it will be sunny and warm and then we'll have a blizzard within a half an hour.

It was 90 here yesterday, and right now it's 48. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

Well, I took the advice that you guys gave me.

It isn't of the clouds but of the sunset.

[Linked Image from i235.photobucket.com]

I thought this was pretty cool. You can even see the texture of the clouds from the angle of the light from the sun. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Looks like Mordor is forging some SR-77.

Mordor huh. So that's where the Bussekin heat treat all this wonderful steel. It's all becoming much clearer now.

Vulcan has the forge going....good things to come..... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Yesterday I took a walk around my neighborhood at night.

It was a rather cool and blindingly blissful night. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Here's a shot from my backyard.

Enjoy!!

wow.. Majestic. That looks a lot like VA Tech when you get about 2 miles outside of town. The whole city is in a valley surrounded by ridgelines. The good old days <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> I need to visit but it just isn't the same. People are what makes life what it is. All you younger dogs, stay in touch! Don't let your friends slip away

I few days back, I captured some rather funny surreal photos of yet another odd day in P-town.

It's another battle between dark and light.

[Linked Image from i235.photobucket.com]

Though the rain cloud, look like something from a cartoon. It's got the classic mushroom style cloud with straight sides portraying rain fall. Weird stuff.

[Linked Image from i235.photobucket.com]

Though it was still sunny.

[Linked Image from i235.photobucket.com]

Pulled back view.

[Linked Image from i235.photobucket.com]

Here's a comparison of the two climates.

[Linked Image from i235.photobucket.com][Linked Image from i235.photobucket.com]

And the town a little more south facing.

[Linked Image from i235.photobucket.com]

Close up of inside the dark rain cloud.

[Linked Image from i235.photobucket.com]

Wonder what it would like to be inside there.

Nice pics Sharp. That's a classic picture of a storm system. If it was Texas there would be lightning though <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Looks like you live up off of Skyline or thereabouts? Great views. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I used to commute from Amberwood Circle in Lake Oswego, up 217, and west to Hillsboro. When the girls were little they went to Catlin Gable. Very pretty area.

Yes, I do live up on Skyline and yes, there actually was lightning in the storm, something I forgot to mention. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Have you gone to the Skyline Restaurant?

I can see Catlin Gabel and St. Vincents from my house. It's a little bit more due west. The campus of both compounds are indeed beautiful.

No, I haven't been to the Skyline Restaurant. Is the food good or a great view, or both?

On our rare dates out when the kids were young my wife and I would generally head downtown. After work I'd occasionally get to hit McMenamins with my friends. I frequented the roadhouse in Hillsboro more often than the McMenamins in Beaverton.
