Well it came today! This knife is just plain awesome, and SB threw in a spec-ops sheath with it!I guess you were all right about the RMD "the perfect knife!" is the only way to describe it.Not too bulky not too light, everything about it is just right!(did that rhyme?) Any way I strapped on,grabbed the cam and headed to the wilderness.Heres the trail that I started out on. [img][image]http://i354.photobucket.com/albums/r406/johnpzane/100_0223.jpg[/img][/image] Then I looked down and saw these! [img][image]http://i354.photobucket.com/albums/r406/johnpzane/100_0231.jpg[/img][/image] They looked pretty fresh considering the edges of the track were still sharp and all the snow was soft and melting so I decided to quietly follow them(I can't resist tracks!)and I came upon these two not more than 20 yards away! [img][image]http://i354.photobucket.com/albums/r406/johnpzane/100_0225.jpg[/img][/image] And then after watching them for about 15 minutes or so I got back to business ENJOY! [img][image]http://i354.photobucket.com/albums/r406/johnpzane/100_0224.jpg[/img][/image] [img][image]http://i354.photobucket.com/albums/r406/johnpzane/100_0230.jpg[/img][/image] [img][image]http://i354.photobucket.com/albums/r406/johnpzane/100_0229.jpg[/img][/image] [img][image]http://i354.photobucket.com/albums/r406/johnpzane/100_0240.jpg[/img][/image] [img][image]http://i354.photobucket.com/albums/r406/johnpzane/100_0241.jpg[/img][/image] I think this will be my new go-to knife,I started to make a bow and drill with it but my wife was coming home soon from work and I had to pick up my son.

Wow meatcutter. I'm surprised that the deer would let you get that close.
You must have been super-quiet to get up that close.

That Ratmandu really is a nice knfe eh?
I sure like mine too. Just like HD says.

Cheers
Dave

Those deer knew they were out of season, the even flipped me the hoof before laughing and bounding away!Seriously it shocked me too to get that close they just seemed not to mind that I was standing there. The one on the left even kept eating grass! If they was in season and I'd had my recurve I would have had a great hunting story.

I can just imagine how much fun you would have using the
Ratmandu to make deer steaks

Congrats and thanks for the great pics Meatcutter.

As most have stated and I concure, the RMD is a CLASSIC and I really haven't heard many say they didn't love theirs.

I hate it when I get " flipped a hoof" by some young punk deer . No respect at all. Thanks for pictures- great knife

Agreed. Thanks for the pics meatcutter.

This is by far my favorite knife, I plan on picking up another one so I can actually use it.
