I have been eying these and was wondering if any of you have one and what you think? I want the satin blade all though the black coated with black/orange handles is hard to pass up...Thanks for your input.

I have a CG that I had to get so I could pattern some pants for a big order, I'm not crazy about the overall design, but I can see how it might be handy to some. I think I might actually like it a little better if the blade was a little shorter and didn't have such a big choil.
It's one of those styles that you either love or hate...

I'm not a big fan of the hawkbill blade, but the meaner street handles are pretty nice. I wanted to pick up a user that was going for cheap and mod it, but it sold before I could get to it. So yes I would get one, but it won't be staying stock.

Chalk me up as another guy who doesn't really like the design. But as Rainwalker said, I can see how some might like it. Just not for me.

Don't own one. No plans to own one. I guess that puts me squarely in the "or hate it" camp.
On the other hand, if you can stomach the design, the color combo you mention could be quite nice.

I hated it when it came out, but Jerry says it is popular with helicopter crews. I think it is a specialized blade design that is useful for its intended purposes. It probably works better than it looks. Honestly, it may have more utility than my HG55LE. Sometimes we buy knives for their looks, sometimes for their funtion, but usually a bit of both. If you like it, get one. It is a Busse, after all.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

I like the looks of the SS - if only it were thicker haha

Thanks guys...I still haven't decided yet...I'm looking for a good all-around fishing knife to take with me when I go fishing. Need to cut line, cut bait, rope and maybe even clean fish unless I use one of my fillet knives...
Any suggestions on a good fishing knife? Besides the SS, I am also considering the Spyderco Aqua Salt (H1 steel) and the Falkniven F2 with the lamenated VG-10 steel. I am open to other suggestions...I don't think the S5 will be a good fishing knife...what say you?

Obviously, corrosion/rust is a big issue...this will be used for salt water fishing.
Forgot to mention that in my previous post.

Forgot to mention that in my previous post. well if rust is a worry, then you are right to go with INFI as its the least likely to rust of the 3 busse-kin steels. i think it would be perfect for your uses that you just listed.

Since Busse doesn't offer any stainless models, that Spyderco Salt sounds like the one. With some care, INFI should handle it fine, but it won't be as rust resistant as the H1 steel.
