Got a new blade today in a trade. It is a Cold Steel Magnum Tanto 12. I like it, love the metal so far but it ain't no Bussekin!

I just got back from the tea party tax protest. My next door neighbor, the one who hates guns, is taking a gun course over at Shooters. She could not wait to tell me that. This lady used to call the cops on me when I would shoot. I tried to get her to come over and let me teach her to shoot back then, but she was afraid of guns. She and her husband are big time protesters and into getting armed now. My how things have changed. Obama has sure brought folks together.....in collective rage against his statist agenda! I will be firing 48 mortar rounds tonight! Happy Independence Day to all Americans and death to all tyrants and traitors.

So I spent a good part of the afternoon splitting some lovely birch to cook with, and got a nice raging fire going, then let it burn down to perfect cooking coals... only for my fiance to inform me she wasn't really hungry <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />
I ended up having to supplement the fire with some charcoal just now, because there just weren't enough coals left to cook my New York Strips.
I've been snapping a lotta pics, and will post 'em when the cookout is over.
