Well, if you use the edge of a knife to cut, liner locks are just fine. I have never cut myself because of a failed one...
However, if you are gonna beat om something, grab a fixed.

I have a Becker Necker for small tasks now...a lot safer than my old liner locks.

I dont even trust Axis locks for serious hard use.
Most of the reason that I use my Izula so much at work. And Also a lot of the reason I NEED a scrap yard skeleton knife.

Well, for everyday use they're okay, but why chance it. But, I prefer not to stay conscious of my hand placement.
