No- not a problem at all . I walked the streets of Mexico city and never have a problem. You need know where you are- but that is true in any big city. We are looking around Queretaro which is colonial Mexico and VERY beautiful .I can pick up a place for a song that includes a grounds keeper- maid and cook. My buddy has a beautiful place with all mentioned for under 1800.00 USD per month !! There is also living quartets for the help- so you always have someone on property as part of their pay. Most Americans have only seen the real tourist parts of Mexico- and any trouble is in the border towms. IMO - it is safer than many US cities . Great food- internet connections- SUNSHINE and at a great price !! Some of the nicest folks in the world and never a bad word about economy etc. Give it a whirl- you will love it

Nicely put!

Lived for a year in Bogota, Colombia and didn't have a problem either. Just make smart choices and know what you're doing where...

We will live there again at some point. Latin America and Latin Americans are great!

Howdy dogs- little off topic question, any of guys have koyote knives? His bushcrafters look cool...They are talking to me big time lately. Almost ordered one today but went with a Vex.

Thoughts? Opinions? Drunken uniformed diatribes?

anyone? Some of you knife-addicts have one, no?
