I really didn't like the looks of that odd looking Res-C handle on such a fine blade

Have you ever held/handled a Mudder grip? To me it is the most secure, comfortable grip I've ever held...

I know. That is why I decided to get it. Knowing how it will be used I know that I will appreciate the grip, even though I don't like the look. I'm very fond of micarta and have never had a problem with it on smaller and mid-sized knives. I agree that on the fatties, Res-C is probably the best choice. On the smaller 5 inch and under, canvas, paper, linen micarta is just fine. Actually on these I tend to change grip positions more frequently than with a large blade. I like to be able to be able to transition smoothly without getting "stuck" on a rubber / sticky grip. Plus, let's face it, looks play in to a decision about why we prefer one vs. another design of a similar knife. I just don't like the way these wavy grips look, but know that they will perform extremely well. Maybe a smooth Res-C handle option would have been nice.

We've had smooth and the Mudder is waaay better! (to many) and I agree Res-C is not as pretty as others, natural and other. It is odd looking, even clunky-like but it's sweet in your hand.

We're lucky to have Busse/Swamprat/Scrapyard that covers all the bases and prices!

I personally don't go for looks or aesthetics on a blade but Performance and reviews of a tool/knife and it's a big reason why I like Scrapyard and Mudders.

No argument about function. I expect from what y'all are saying that it will grow on me pretty quickly once I put it to the test. Hoping that this will become my primary outdoors carry.

Well, off for a hike with the family and pooch. Hmmm, what to bring???

Later dawgs!

This may be a dumb question: Is there any way to find out what number we will get before we actually get it?

You could try emailing Renee. Chances are the blades are still being made so there's probably no telling until the manufacturing part is complete.

Ha! True, but #24 is the one they always do for the picture. I don't think anyone has figured out why though.

The INFI S5LEs are still in stock. How much longer they'll last is anybody's guess. But they've already been available long enough so that everyone who wanted them had time to place their order(s). That throws the excuse that they didn't last long enough right out the window.

Once again, let's hear it for the new business plan!

Good points, the scrap pile is going down. This is very popular...who would have thought

I am keeping a close eye on the steel and the number of orders

Thanks for the vote of confidence on the business plan
Dan

...well.

has anyone asked? lol

just seems a bit odd to make one for the photo and stamp it/laser it with 24 for just no reason.

Well Dan? :]
