a little tip for you hot pepper growers, save all your used coffee grounds, and liberally mix them into the soil around the pepper plants. My pepper plants have taken off after i started doing this.

also pepper plants LOVE calcium, a cup or two of bonemeal around each plant does wonders.

Just had lunch at a place in Crestview FL called Wings of Fire. I eat their wings a lot but their hottest offering called 'Fire' doesn't make me sweat. If I don't sweat then it's not hot enough!

I love hot food. I was the official Habanero taster for a restaurant I worked at. Each batch we received had different heat levels, I would test them so our recipes had a consistent heat level.

thanks for this tip. we've been using coffee grind sin our main garden bed to keep neighborhood cats from using it as a litter box...but all of my peppers are in 1/2 wine barrels.

My Jalapenos have only been so/so and my habaneros are in bad shape. There's only one pepper growing on the hab plant. It's been exceptionally hot in the PNW this year, so i thought they'd thrive....

I'll try the coffee grounds tonight

this my latest little jar of hell.

2 cups wild turkey bourbon
2 cups finely ground mexican chili powder
1 cup habernaros
1 cup dried crushed chilis
- 4 tablespoons salt
1 cup apple cider vinegar

everything into a blender, liquify and pour into glass jar.

It has a mild start to it, a bit of a heat bite, but its about 5 to 10 minutes after you eat it and you realize your face is itching hot and you have sweat pouring off you head/face/neck/brow/eyes.

pleasant afterburn in the mouth, no violent hiccups like some hot sauce

Oh WOW. I would need to call 911 by just opening that jar <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif" alt="" /> LOL
