I'm on my phone, too hard to type, but I'll give you my thoughts on dropping DADT. It's a huge mistake to allow openly gay people to serve, and if I can see it why can't the powers that be? CAUSE THEY'RE STUPID! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" /> Don't get me wrong. I knew a few gays in the military and they were good workers. I also don't buy into this "they'll run and hide when the shtf". But if they can be open about their life style WHILE "on the clock" it will I think have a negative impact on/for the "straight" folks. Just my 2 cents which in the scheme of things don't mean much.

Because the powers that be are civilians working in the judicial system. The decisions are not being made by the military in this case.
