Todd, I've got the full size and the mini Grip in that blade. I like them, specially the mini.

Don't know if I want the mini or the full size. How much difference is there?

Quite a bit actually. The full size feels about twice the size of the mini to me. The Mini is a GREAT all round daily carry sheeple friendly(Yeah I know, but it's just an evil we got to live with) blade. It'll open envelopes, cut string and then cut your steak and do quite a few "outdoor" chores. The full size is completely hand filling. Don't get me wrong, I like them both but the mini is I think more useful day to day. Surely you can find a store around there somewhere that has both for you to actually feel.

Do you have any experience with a Kershaw Blur or Leek? Wonder how they compare?

I've seen them but have never owned one. The Grips are really lightweight as well. And you CAN find aftermarket grip slabs like the ones Toney showed althought they are rather pricey.

i had a Blur. very nice blade with assisted opening. not a fan of recurve blades, but the recurve on the Blur wasnt bad at all. i prefer the grip over the Blur.

Oh Crap! I just sliced a single layer of skin off my finger with my new toy. Maybe they should be named KarmaBITE! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />

I'll have to find a deal on one. Joined up on benchmadeforums this evening, filled out the LE waiver so I can get auto openers also.

A patch about the size of the head on a straight pin.

At least it was sharp enough to take a layer instead of a CHUNK!

AYUP! But after playing with knives for the past 50+ years, I'm used to getting cut. Don't like it, but I'm used to it.

I got a new Kershaw at Christmas, it's the Zing. Not an assisted opening knife, but the flipper makes it just as quick.

Randy, I thought about you today. I found my balisong that I had lost, I'll try to take a pic tomorrow and post it up to show you.
