O, did you do the paving stones yourself or were they already there?

Well today an old friend of my parents stopped by. He lives in the Adirondacks Mountains in New York. He works for a guy that does Horse, Fly Fishing, and White Water rafting tours and such in the mountains. And he offered me a job with a place to stay and everything. I live in Indiana but have been wanting to go somewhere in the wilderness. I'm 18 and dont know what to do. Sounds like a great opportunity. Theres bears, wolves, coyotes and the such. Man its intimidating and exciting. Don't know what to do!

Going out on your own, especially if it is your first time, IS frightening. BUT think of is, IF you have a place to come back to, you could try it if you want and if it does not work you could always come back. Talk to your parents, friends and perhaps others that have this sort of lifestyle and see what they say. It will not be all roses. Chances are that as the "new kid on the block" and I mean no disrespect by using the word kid, you will be doing the grunt work, cleaning stalls, fish, getting customers lines untangled going after gear that was lost in the water.

IF you can deal with this, both mentally and physically and STILL like what you are doing, you may have found your niche.

Ultimately no matter what I or anyone else says, you must make up your own mind and what it is YOU want to do.

You will be hot and dirty in the summer and cold and wet in the winter. If you Truly like the outdoors, again, you may have found your job, at least for the present.

I hope this helps, and remember, make YOUR OWN DECISION, now what someone else tells you you should do.

Randy

Thats very good advice Randy thank you. And no disrespect taken <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />. I am going to carefully consider it, I already currently have a job and such so I am not desperate for a job or anything. We will see what happens.

Nice job! Bet it was a bear getting all the edges lined up and even though. Did you have to cut any of the stones or were they already cut into those shapes.
