Their 20/50 is ridiculous, casing of a 20mm round necked down to shoot a .50 bullet. 800 grains at 3600FPS.

Again, useless.

They would be fun to shoot, once, maybe. But I would want to watch someone else shoot them first!

Got a question for you, may be dumb but here goes. Seeings how you are not with a regular Marine unit, do you get an allocation of ammo/range time to stay current with your marksmanship?

I have a 5.56. I think that is the only cal that rifle comes in.

I don't get any ammo or allocation like that, but all I have to do is call the range and schedule a time when units aren't training and they give me a few hundred rounds and a rifle.

Ok, pretty much what I was talking about. How often do you have to qualify? And will you be doing that at Hill AFB?

I am exempt from annual qual here and will be there as well, since there are no ranges here set up for 500 yard firing. Here and there they just have those girly 300 yard known distance ranges.

A friend of my here used to have a place to shoot where he could go out to about 450 yards. With open sights I was hitting a 2 lit coke bottle with the 3rd shot. I was withing a foot of it with the first 2.

Well my relief is here early. gonna brief her and head out.

Take care and talk to you later.

I have loaded several thousand rounds of the 20mm on F4's. Now the 30MM THAT is a big round (The A-10 anti tank gun).

I can trim the toenails off a flea at 1000 yards with a Howitzer 777 fired from the hip. It won't even scratch the flea.
