Would love to put a convex edge on my DF. I think it would likely really shine!

I'm also thinking about a Chop/RatWeiler.

The RS is an almost perfect little hunting blade. Think I might get a couple more to give to the boys when they get a bit older. I agree with them being a great blade. I use mine all the time.

Why didn't you like the ASH? Left hot spots on my hand. I like the SODLE so much better for that blade--now if you need to pry the door off a tank, that is where is shines. If I were to try it again I would go for the Skinny ASH.

Why didn't you like the ASH? I am in OK where the emphasis is not on splitting wood but chopping smaller stuff and more vegetation stuff.

Soo....220 for another couple of RSs, $250 for a Mastiff, $150-200 for an SOD, $250 for a used Tank Buster or Hell Razor, $300 for a B11, $280 for an M9, $300 for a pumpkin BOSS Jack, $150-200 for a Muk...wow...those costs start adding up, don't they <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

If funds weren't an issue, I would have loved to get a sword from the Swamp--I am a fan of micarta. But close to 4 bills--nah, I'd rather get an XD. The waki would only get used for fun. If it was closer to $200, I think I could have pulled the trigger. I had a Waki and a Scizzy. I kept the Scizzy because it feels better in hand. I have held the AK47 and other Busse swords and they are cool. But, it is a play toy more or less so the 300 price is easier to deal with. Now a Gladius, I would love one of those, especially for the end of the world deal.

Amen on the convex. I wonder what a belt sander set up would run? Some guys use Harbor freight tools. I will go for something a little more substantial. I am figuring that the sander and belts will be close to 200 by the time I am done. The thing is Horn Dog gets a small penitence of pay for what he can do. Shoot him a pm and see what it will run. I am not sure where you are but he is in GA.

I live in the south, so wood processing is a relatively big thing, I'm also in an urban area, so prying stuff apart is another possibility, hence the ASH and Reg/DeReg
