When I was a youngster I was in the Sons of The American Legion at the post where my father belonged. Keep in mind that this was the WWII crowd and less than twenty years after the war. Anyway, they would show 16mm films of the war - actual footage by the military. I STILL remember the footage of the concentration/death camps, and it was a good education albeit grissly on the horrors of war and the terrible things that mankind is capable of. The films should be REQUIRED viewing in schools, teaching the value of freedom! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />

Tom, I have seen some of those films too. I believe that the younger generation does need to see the "visualization" of the horrors. Of course with todays society and all many of them are already de-synthesized to it.

I think it should be mandatory as well. I think we as a society tend to forget what those who came before us have worked so hard to get. A lot is taken for granted. Far too much for my taste.

They are also good for illustrating the need to pay attention to and take necessary actions against the type of government/dictators who would enact the terrible attrocities against fellow human beings. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I'm part of the younger generation and as much as my peers seem to be immune to violent images, when the real thing surfaces it's a different story. I've talked to older police officers complaining that the new recruits are softer now than before. Maybe they always say that, but I think there's some truth to it.

I can tell you that a majority of my peers were shocked that I would go hunting, shoot, and gut a pig. They don't even want to know that meat was from a live animal.

I like my RMD but haven't really used it, its just not that different from the S5. I want to see how the RMDx fits between the S5 and Regulator. I would prefer all the blades be flat ground.
