Took them to the slaughterhouse for killing, gutting and scalding. They quartered them, then we took it from there. I helped a little, but Dad and my cousin did most of the hard work.

We've got a big freezer full of fresh meat. Probably 50 pounds of sausage and another 100 or so of pork chops. Then there's all the rest of the meat! It'll keep us through the winter

I'd about rather eat deer than pork though. Much leaner meat, and it has a flavor that I love.

The only deer I ever killed we had probably 90 percent of it ground up into burgers/sausage.

I've got about 20 lbs of deerburger at home, and about another 30 lbs of deer cubesteak. THAT's some good stuff there!

Used to have a girl that worked here that could cook deer so tender it would almost melt in your mouth. Lightly breaded and fried. Yummy!

I use a little black pepper, some garlic salt and sometimes some cajun seasoning. Just fried in a little veggie oil and it's awesome. The cube steak I flour and fry, but just plain tenderloin is my favorite.

Believe it or not I can't think of anything to say! Kind of a strange feeling for me!
