She still really doesn't know what she wants to do. She has done a lot of promotions work for the campus radio station she volunteers at. She is really thinking about getting into that. There is a 2 year diploma course for promotions management, but with her experience they will put her in the 10 month accelerated program. Dad told her, he will pay for their 1st degree, the rest is up to them.
So we will see what happens

A lot of times it is hard for "kids" to figure out what they want to do. I was in my 2nd year of college (when I partied to much) and hadn't declared a major yet. Actually I hadn't really even thought about it. But when I got put on academic suspension for my grades, I joined the Air Force as I was already in the ROTC program. Luckily for me it all worked out to the good.

Yeah Usually that is what happens. Field work is rough and hard to get and I of course don't know but I would figure that some if not all the "New kids on the block" would have to pay their own way.

We didn't want to force her into anything, but we wanted her to get her degree, even if it is a jumping off point for something else

yeah it's not like it used to be. I was fortunate. I went in the Military for 20 years and got a job at the Sheriff's office actually before my actual retirement date. I got lucky. Even more so because I like what I do and have really good bosses and co-workers.

My major was archeology and my minor was physical anthropology. I took a 3-week summer job in a factory and 26 years later (in may) I am still there
