In a large city I am sure a person could find a storefront where they do sell them. but here the largest city within 100 miles is only 35000. St Louis is the largest city to us and it is 150 miles north of us, and Memphis is 200 miles south.

I thought you were leaving in August.

I stopped on the bike ride home and grab this picture. It is from the same place I took the picture in the morning.

This area Bad Cannstatt in northern Stuttgart is known as the Cradle of the Automobile for its shape (a valley of sorts) and it being the place where the automobile was invented by Gottlieb Daimler and Carl Benz. Everything but the residential parts is owned by Daimler (known for their Mercedes Benz cars). On the top left you can see the Mecedes Arena/Raceway. Just to the right of it is the silver curved building of the Mercedes Museum were visitors can see a lot of cool stuff including the first production car in history. All the rest to the right and everywhere else is production facilities besides the Mercedes Fairgrounds with the ferris wheel.

I report in July 1 and leave the month or so before for leave.

I remember when I was doing my out processing (for retirement) and I was terrified that I had forgotten something and they would postpone my departure date or call me back. I left Pope AFB the 10 of Dec 1993 and my actual retirement date was 01 March 1994. Heck, I was working here the first week of January '94! Loved getting two full paychecks a month, <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> shame it only lasted 2 months. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

I DO still get two paychecks a month, but one of them is not anywhere as much as it used to be. Heck, you get probably as much hola every month over there as I make a month (both paychecks) here! I know your rent is almost as month as both my checks.
