Oh yeah then there is the newer road that starts at ditch 4 and bow hunters loop road that goes for about a mile. Not really sure where it ends up but I would like to find out some day.

It's pretty flat out there isn't it? At mingo, pretty much flat. But when they open up the auto tour portion, about an 11 mile addition it goes up and down and along some ridge likes. The highest point down to the flat banks (about the lowest) has a total altitude change of probably 5-600 feet. Does not sound like much but all the up and down and ridgeline following makes for some pretty views in a few places.

Nothing like our hills here then. I can walk all day on flat ground, or reasonably close, but throw in big hills and I can't do it.

IF you were to hike the auto loop you WOULD get a workout. But in between chimbing the hills you will have some to go down and some flats and some easy rolling "Humps" interspersed with completely tree covered stretches of the road.
