Sumo, you are so kind. I take back everything bad TODD ever said about you! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Hey, wait a minute! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Todd, he is putting words in your mouth again <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />

The tornado was on the ground for about 60 miles! How wide was the path?

I have literally gone through Hurricanes (in the Philippines) and Earthquakes (Philippines and Japan). That is enough for me. Don't want to experience either one again and I also don't want to go through a mudslide. Oh almost forgot I also got through a lightening strike. Hit my TV about 4 ft from my bed one night when I was a kid. It scared me!

I've been through hurricanes before. Hugo hit all the way up here in 89. Total devastation. I was here, but didn't work S&R.

Had to think for a minute, I was in Japan in '89. Kinda sucks when you have a hard time remembering where you were during a certain time.

Surprised you can remember that far back. I barely can.

The nado cost over 1.1 billion dollar in damage, over 8,000 houses lost, 41 (IIRC) deaths, winds over 400 miles an hour, ked to a new rating for nado's classification, with the damage path up to 4 miles wide. We were finding stuff in my AO that was from towns 30 minutes away. I was on the southside of OKC/Moore area so there was not a lot of big animals around--with the exception of a horse farm about a mile away--there were horses laying on the ground for that, so just imagine what the forces are. Not to mention the cars, boats, trucks, trailers, etc. Truly amazing that we did not loose more people. We were lucky, none of my family were affected in the nado that day, but I had several friends that was, and they lost most everything. In fact, one friend still has not found his gun safe--it was a large 40 gun one, so it is probably in a pond or lake somewhere.

My Papa was there in WWII, one of the first groups sent up. He said [censored] cold.

Steeley, pretty much plus some other stuff added into the mix just to make it interesting. Call comes in on the phone, we figure out who is working what and where and send someone to the call for service when we have someone free. We also decide what calles get answered first (prioritize them) by order of importance/severity or possibility of turning "nasty".
