Actually a Scizzy would be better for that. Personally I would rather have a 12ga with EXPLODING shells

truth is there is very little danger from bears, more likely to get killed in the drive up there then by a bear.
always fun to see newbies act like there is a salivating bear behind every tree just waiting to eat them

Yeah I know they aren't as dangerous as most folks think. IF you leave them along and dont' do anything that would make them think you are trying to hurt their young or mess with their food supply you will probably be ok. Best thing in bear country is KEEP YOUR EYES AND EARS OPEN AND YOUR TRAP SHUT!
