Don't forget Patti, Amy, and all the other ladies at Busskin!

I am getting sick of looking at all that pink. But if Dan makes a pink one, I'll buy two or three for my daughters and lady friends.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

You know I just had a thought. Since Dan is always giving to us, why don't we give something back.

I would like to make a proposal:

Dan should charge $1.00 extra for every Scrapavore (pink) he sells and donate THAT to the Breast cancer awareness program. I am sure no one would object to basically donating the dollar themselves. That way Dan would not have to bear the expense, again.

What think Ye Dawgs? A dollar (or more) to help this important program? But then again the headache of actually getting it donated would fall on Dan's company.

Anyway, what do you think?

This is an interesting idea. My only concern would be the overhead burden on SYKCO to manage it...especially at $1. I might modify the process slightly....

Perhaps one could select a ScrapiVore for purchase in the store. There could be additional selections available (same as color selection is done), for $5, $10, etc....that could also be selected. This would allow folks to donate greater amounts, if it's important to them. If these selections are in your basket at checkout, the SYKCO team knows to send out a pink SV and donates that money to the non-profit.

The problem with stuff like this is that everyone has their preferred non-profit to support....and unless it's championed by someone in SYKCO, this isn't likely to happen.

Blade looks sweet (1/8 wooohooo!). Thing is, I'll be on mil orders for the next 5 weeks and no ability to order this one until I get home. Any chance that it will still be around?

I think all we would have to do is poll the women affiliated with Bussekin knives and we'd get all the support we need.

So true, So true! I wasn't giving our fellow ladies enough credit for the influence they provide.

Either way, I'd buy a few for my mom, wife, sisters, etc. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Hey Bruce....what's the average time between announcement of new releases and putting them on the site for actual sale? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

And I've seen them take almost a year to get to the store! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" />

Oh No! Please Santa...convince the elves to work harder so that the ScrapiVore might end up in my stocking this December!

Alternatively, and early November ship date would be ideal so that I can chop up some tender venison with it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Tuf-Cloth works. The only problem is I use knives on food. I keep tuf-cloth on some of my carbon choppers that dont see food use. I keep olive oil or mineral oil on the edges of my coated knives and have not had any issues. One of my swamp wardens has several scratches through the coating from sand being caught in the kydex but no rust yet.

If I remember correctly Tuf-Cloth is supposed to be non-toxic.

I've been wearing a SW as a necker inside the shirt in kydex for a few months now (and I sweat enough in the summer especially)and I've had no rust problems on the SR101 uncoated edge, but I do try to keep it clean.

Then we'd have to get Jeff to make us some Kydex purse sheaths with pink ribbon lanyards to match. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

It's not my choice of colors, but I can get pink kydex. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
