I don't understand why we can't get more details.

Because..... Dan is not ready yet.

He will NEVER tell you "Here it is!" until it has been, stamped, cut, heat treated, ground, heat treated some more. Cleaned up.

Final profiling and grind, Sharpened, inspected and tested.

THEN..... stock bins full of thousands of knives ready to ship out all over the world.

He will still runs knives I'm sure after his release date to ensure he can match the orders filled and have stock left for replacements in a case of catastrophic failure.

It has been a scant 3 plus weeks since he decided on what his next taste for us would be.

I can positively tell you this. Nothing gets under his skin more than being berated by Dogs for not moving as fast as they think he should. Some have been removed from this forum for bashing constantly.

His method is the fastest and most efficient way to finish a drawing into a Busse Family blade.

Dan needs a bit more respect and not so much pushing and shoving for
information. As a joke he added the "Two Weeks" emoticon. It is because a Busse 2 weeks can be much longer.

NOT by design but by perfection. The ratio of production knives defective and returned vs still in service is around 0.001 % of all models made.

That is due to this wait time. While designs are tested, inspected, heat treated, blah blah blah.

There will be a new knife soon. We need to understand what goes into his knives for us, and respect it and him.

Nuff said, I am off my soap box and back to a good book.

Peace.

Some people just never learn.

I haven't seen anyone berating Dan. I,as well as everyone else, am excited about the new product. If I wasn't I would't be checking for updates twenty times a day.

personally I think Dan gets some form of amusement from the behavior here, otherwise he wouldn't post "coming soon" threads, he knows it will fire up the pound here. I think this is the exact reaction he expected. Personally I don't get worked up, I check in everyday and when I see the new blade posted I will get excited (or not) depending on if it is a design that I want. I am sure as always it will be a great blade people will forget about the long wait once the pics are released...... in

I feel the same way. I missed out on a previous model. I am not going to miss out on this one.

Hey Slaimd, I worked in Base Ops (airfield management), don't know what they call it now.

It's still BOPS and AMOPS depending on who you talk to. Glad to see some other blue around the world of bussekin

Good to see some fellow airmen around. I did time from '84 to '90.

Any other USAF vets out there?

Yeah I think we are out numbered by the Navy. Oh I meant to say the MEN'S DEPARTMENT of the Navy!

Jarheadjournalist, Spiderpig, Tom and a couple others are active or were active Marines at one time. Unlike the rest of the services, ONCE A MARINE ALWAYS A MARINE! Is still alive and well.

The Marines are ok but I still like to remind them we can drop poop on their heads.

Alright SkunkHunter and drodent. I was in the 507th TAIRCW stationed at Shaw AFB SC. Made some great friends while I was in and still keep in touch today.

While we are on the subject I want to thank all the active duty members of all branches for their service as well as those who served in the past.
