sound like me when I was trying to decide. had nothing had nothing but .308 on the brain. had to try not to bring it up in every conversation.

best bet is to get some guns in hand if you can. and don't be ready to buy when you do. let it sink in for a little bit to avoid an impulse buy. and then enjoy your new SA58... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

308 is my favorite rifle round. I spent a lot of time playing with the gun dealers weapons before deciding on my latest.

Like Lazi said, get your hands on a few before you buy. If your local dealer has a range and rental guns, that is a good start. A few here in Salt Lake give LEO and Military discounts by letting us use the range for free and only having to pay for rounds on the rentals.
