This is my Mud puppy (#25 like my JYD #, Thank You Rainwalker)
[Linked Image from i152.photobucket.com]

I have had it for a couple years now, it came in Rainwalker Kydex (Thank you again) I removed the belt loop and pocket-carry it regularly. I started with a piece of bike inner-tube and carried it like that for a while, then a stuffed a CountyComm Mini Pry-bar in the mix, I like that little tool. Later came a zip-tie and that is how it has been for quite awhile. A month or two ago I added 5-ish ft of para-cord.

I really like it, it is NOT a survival kit or anything like that, but I just like it is is not too bulky I can easily carry it in my pocket.

Anyone else got a "kit" on their sheath?

Thats a nice set-up! I need to get a mini pry bar.

My kits are only in my BOB or on bigger knives, but you just got the gears turning

Nice little piece of kit you have there. I have not packaged my MP like that, but it usually comes along on most hunting trips. Either on the belt or in the pack. Handles all those little cutting tasks and a great field dressing knife too.

I have a small "kit" in the pocket of my SpecOps Navigator sheath. It includes: Gatco Triseps sharpening stone, Silva Starter compass, LMF swedish fire steel, Streamlight Nano flashlight, Bic lighter, Katadyn water purification tablets (four tablets in factory blister packaging).

I've wrapped 550 7-strand paracord around the outside of the sheath.

This isn't an EDC setup though - its a super lightweight "woods walking" rig.

With this kit I can:

* Make Fire
* Make Shelter
* Purify Water
* Navigate (even at night)
* Signal For Help (not that manly men need to do this <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" /> )

Oh yeah, there is a small container in the pouch with ten Eagle brand #2 fishing hooks.

Never know how long you're going to be out there....

OP - nice set up. Maybe add a ferro rod under then innertube? You can get them without a "handle" on feeBay for under $5.

And in addition to what Arch said, you might want to think about adding part of a broken off hacksaw blade. It would work as a striker for the ferro rod and you would be surprised what you can cut with a 3 or 4 inch piece of a broken off hacksaw. Actually if you were to attach it with a small bolt (chicago screw would probably be better, you can find them in steel now) you could put it right where you have your prybar attaches and swing it out, using the sheath as a handle!

Question, how stiff is that prybar (as in does it really work)?
