Some of you might remember when I got my Weatherby Toy, the PA549-TR shotgun. Well Yesterday I did some trading and now have it's Semi-auto twin (well will have when it comes in next week) the SA459-TR! I lucked out, but alas this one will be black, but hey all I have to pay is the tax!

Here THEY are if you are interested.

Frog gigs are handy. They can be used on fish and small game as well.

Its a good way to catch eel (slippery SOBs) too!

It reminds me of how people used to catch eel. Basically if they slaughtered a bull or a horse died, they would tie a rope to the head of the beast, drop it in a bog and pull it back out a few days later and it would be crammed with eel.

Eels do indeed taste pretty good. Especially smoked or breaded & panfried.

There is one caveat though, they can taste incredibly "muddy" because of where they live, so usually they are required to stay alive in clean/running water (like a mesh box in a river or in a barrel of fresh water) for a week or two before you eat them. For this reason traps or nets are the preferred method of catching them.

The other day I got a new LED flashlight from Wally World. It's marked Ozark Trail and listed at 500 lumens (100 lumens on low mode). It is a full size flashlight that uses 6 AA batteries. There is no holder, you insert the batteries, 3 to a side into the holes in the body after removing the tail cap.

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Ozark-Trail-20047-Ozark-Trail-6AA-OT-500L-Flashlight/27859983

It isn't a long throw light, but is more of a flood pattern that I personally Think that a flood pattern is more useful in most situations.

Advertising hype aside, I do like this light and will keep it in the truck along with my Maglite led (for longer throw/spot light type use)

Oh and I might add that the "Orange" color listed in the description is the O ring around the tailcap.

I GUESS this would qualify. Got another 30 rounds of 20ga ammo. 15 slugs and 15 buckshot.

That brings me up to 130 rounds. Need more! I'm actually setting pretty good on the other stuff, but I need to blow through a box or two (25-50 rounds) of the shotgun ammo to test out the semi.

I've actually got another 150 rounds, but it's #5, 7 1/2 and a box of 9's. That's the stuff I'll use for my Function testing.
