A fillet knife with Res c would be a natural for the Elmax. And Dan can bring it at a price that most can appreciate. And some kitchen cutlery would win my wife over.

A folder would be perfect!
I am on the lookout for new folder, and the Emerson I am thinking of, is super expensive!

So, a SY folder would do it for me.

But the chances of that happening are as slim as Elmax... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Get it? Slim as Elmax... 'Cause Elmax is slim... Get it?

I've already got an ELMAX folder (not from the yard). The steel is amazing.

Anyone know if Dan has done any special heat-treat magic on this?

I personally don't see a folder from Scrapyard, but I didn't see the mini dagger coming either. If it is the same thickness of Elmax I am not sure what I think. I really like drop points myself but that is really not one of the choices. The SS4 a little thinner would be nice but I so prefer the Scrap Max handle to the mudders.

That's the best idea for the next Elmax knife. You Sir seem to be most intellect person! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Whatever Dan comes up with I'm sure it will be awesome. The only problem is the wait.

I'll mirror this.

I think we'll see some "flavor" of the Scrap Max get released next. The handle is right, the thickness is right, the blade profile is useful and versatile....I suspect Dan was feeling out the response via Blade. An official release will happen, with minor tweaks. No choil, perhaps??! Add a drop point??! Release one in 4", another in 3". Make a fatty in 4" flavor as well?
