I have never tried a folder. I like the AFG from mag pul. I used the stubbys more as a handstop than a grip. I threw one on my work carbine as a stop and because it will hold a pair of CR123's for my light.

I had a surefire G-2 sitting around and threw that on the forearm using an old one inch scope mount. I also had a spare three point and it will do the trick. The fact that some are OD and the rest of the rifle is black with drive my OCD side a bit nuts but my cheap side will be very happy that its more functional without costing me any more cash.

The fanciest add-on I have ever used is a tri-rail mount for my 12 gauge shotgun, using a light with a pressure switch. Nothing fancy, but it works! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I like the folder folded to an angle to maybe the magpul would be a good choice.

Have you tried Fenix flashlights? I use the TK15 for work and I love it, it goes from 9 lumins all the way to 400 and is well made.

I got away from using pressure switchs unless they are built in. They break way to often for my tastes. Either a rocker switch or a momentary tailcap switch.

I love my 3 point slings. Makes transitions way quicker.
