Wouldn't be a problem for me, at least not with this Sheriff. Matter a fact he's asked me how come I haven't gotten my CCW. I told him I just wanted to be able to carry on in the truck and when the Concealed carry law went into effect that was part of it. You can carry loaded in your vehicle, concealed just not on your person.

It's also legal in NC to hunt with suppressors now, and the way my ears ring I need to take advantage of that if I can.

I've had my CCW for years. I'd keep it even if I didn't carry, just for the way it makes buying guns so easy. No calling in for background checks, just show your CCW and walk.

I don't know for sure, but I THINK you still get called in here even if you've got a CCW permit.

Shouldn't. Not if you have a valid CCW. That takes the place of the NCIC check. Still have to fill out the 4473, but that's all.

When it rains, it pours. Had an accident where a pedestrian supposedly got hit and a home invasion at the same time. PLUS the Stinking no account deputy didn't live his house for 15 MINUTES!

When you tell someone that you have a caller that hears people in the next room rummaging around, his kids are at the other end of the house and the homeowner has a loaded gun, I wouldn't think you would leisurely get dressed!
