My son never had any good luck with those reels that had the button. The line always kept getting snarled. So I bought him a cheap (around $25 at the time) Mitchell spinning reel when he was 8 years old and he learned to use it fairly quickly. He still has it today 11 years later.

Find a Zebco 33 Classic, can't go wrong with one of those.

I ALWAYS loved my 33 and can remember starting with the zebco 202 and 404. I then switched to spinning reels which I prefer to this day but start them off simple.

Cold here but looks nice out. Rain and snow tomorrow with 1-3 forecast.

Raining here now, but may turn into freezing rain/sleet.

It just missed us, but headed to Randy instead.

The weather peeps said 100% rain, sleet, snow....so far we have 100% nothing.

Not much post ganza talk. I'm guessing we'll see a lot of left overs from leftoverganza at the next KC and Blade.

I notice not much talk about the ganza, I never get hyped for them as I'm satisfied by the regular yard and sometime swamp releases.

I think with BF down the ganzaa wasn't as busy.
