It doesn't meet DT's Criteria for a big knife, but I have to mention it here. The 711. I have one strapped to my day pack/GHB (Thanks TOM!) and it is a FANTASTIC blade. That said, here's My take on DT's OP.

1311- Got one, but don't use it much. It IS a fantastic chopper/machete. Light and quick, The Yards ultimate LARGE Multifunctional blade.

DF- Had one, just to heavy for the way I used it but the yard's "Standard bearer". It's thick, it's long and it's tough! Hits like a small axe and holds a great edge. I passed mine on to a fellow dog in lieu of a 911.

BWM. OK, since he mentioned it, the BWM IS a great blade! It (If it wasn't so dang pretty and expensive) would be my truck blade of choice. But it mainly resides in the Bussekin Bag with the rest of my Busse and kin blades that isn't in the truck or on my bag. Now it COULD well become my "Truck knife", replacing the 911, at least for a while. We'll see. The handle on the BWM just fits my hand perfectly and since I have used it enough to slightly smooth off the "Grooves" it is a lot more hand friendly. I just hesitate to use an almost 500 dollar blade for a "Beater".

911- MY knife of choice based upon how I use my "Larger" blades. It stays in the truck and is used to remove branches/small limbs from the roads at Mingo. Yes at times a larger blade would have been nice, but the 911 got it done and it fits alongside the seat perfectly. And it's thinner/not as heavy as the DF and for me works just as well MOST of the time.

So there ya go my take on some of the "Choppers" of the Busse Kingdom.
