I love big knives. And the Yard makes some crackers. I own a DF (CG), 911, 1111 & 1311. I love them all and it's hard to pick the best one of the lot.
The 1111 and DF are very similar feeling knives and perform (for me) almost the same. The 1111's SR101 holds a much better edge than the DF's S7 (pls correct me if I got that wrong). Elof mentioned he experiences some shock in the 1111's handle on his, however I don't with mine. Perhaps it's just the way we hold it. Regardless, if you're looking for a big knife like the DF, the 1111 is currently available at not secondary market prices and is well worth a look.
The 911 is pure awesome for me. I use it all the time by the fire. It's just about the perfect size for an all round camp knife.
The 1311 is what it is. I love it for a large chopper and lite machete, which I think it excels at much better than a chopper. It binds a lot when chopping and due to the thin stock it bites deep. This can be a real pain in the clacker! It does however make an AWESOME butcher knife. The long thin blade slices whole sirloin and rib eyes like no-one's business.
Rob I agree about the 911. It would be what I would recommend to people. It's a great all arounder.
