Hey how do you ESEE users feel their 1095 holds up against SR101?
I heard 1095 doesn't hold an edge as long but that its MUCH easier to sharpen

MM,
1095 does not really stack up to SR101, BUT it's been a good performing steel for a really long time (think the really old Mercedes truck springs that birthed the uncountable number of khukris and all sorts of machetes for the last 100 or so years).
It will not hold an edge anywhere near the SR101 level, but you can use a rock to sharpen it.

And 1095 has built ESEE knives side of their business, TOPS, Becker K&T (regardless of who was actually making the knives), big chunk of Ka-Bar and Ontario...
If that wasn't enough it still is widely used by a lot of custom makers, so it has to be good for something...

The real question is how much the legendary Busse HT will add to 1095's performance.
